We’re a family-run vineyard and winery in Central Victoria, farming a cool-climate site situated between three extinct volcanoes. It’s a challenging place to grow grapes—higher, colder and windier than most—but it’s one we believe in.
Working in these conditions means being comfortable taking risks: planting vines where others wouldn’t, choosing varieties that suit the site, and learning as we go. It asks us to pay attention, and in return, rewards us with wines that feel balanced and alive.
Here in Smeaton, people sit at the heart of it all; family, friends, neighbours and the wider community. We see it as a shared effort, with a responsibility that extends beyond ourselves. Sometimes that means lending space, passing on advice, or pitching in when needed. If someone wants to learn or have a go, the door is open.
An approach rooted in care
Looking after the land matters to us just as much as producing good wine. We farm with care, using regenerative practices that build soil health and support biodiversity. We run the winery on rain water and draw power from the sun. It’s about making good decisions now so the vineyard, and planet, stay healthy for the long term.
The wines reflect this deep care. They're balanced, considered and true to their place—wines for the table, for sharing, and for bringing people together.
