IN THE GLASS
good to know
Zippy, citrus driven style with notes of lemon and lime, crisp acidity and a flinty mineral finish.
We followed a different path and found our place. Under the silent watch of three extinct volcanoes, high above the plains, we farm in cool air and shifting winds, powered by the sun. We work by hand and with care for the land, building balance through regenerative practices. The wines carry that same intent, bright, layered and full of life

There’s a distinct ‘hell yes’ to this project. All the wines tasted (mea culpa, some non spitting after hours), seem to have a high quality thing going on. A unique site makes it curious too, in the best sense; seemingly middle of nowhere outside Ballarat. Sometimes, actually, often for me, the best wines are made in the marginal places.
I’m not going to speculate on winemaking and whatever goes on in winery, but I am going to say that while the vineyard is pretty young, this fruit is flavoursome, delivers compelling fruity and savoury characters, has been wine-made to give a little savouriness and grip in flavour and texture, and finishes distinctly long. Cumquat, mandarin, lemon curd, ginger, bergamot tea – that’s nice stuff. Dunno, let’s just leave it at ‘this is such a great thing to drink’.
